The Art of Sophraxia

Continuing Your Practice

The Art of Sophraxia is the continuation of practice after Human Being, Not Human Doing (HB>HD). It is not a separate philosophy or new system, but a deepening of the same work – learning how to meet life with clarity, steadiness, and choice as circumstances become more complex.

These trainings build on the foundational capacities developed in HB>HD : awareness, attention, and the ability to pause before responding. Each offering explores a different aspect of being human, not as something to fix or optimize, but as something to engage with more deliberately and honestly.

This is not about doing more. It is about learning how to live with what you already know – consistently, under pressure, and in relationship with yourself and others.

After completing HB>HD, participants are invited into the following focused practices. Each training stands on its own, while also belonging to a larger path of development within Sophraxia.

A Note On Progression

The Art of Sophraxia is not about hierarchy or completion.

There is no expectation to move through these trainings quickly, or at all. Each practice invites engagement when it feels relevant and timely.

This is a long view of personal development – one rooted in practice, patience, and care. Meaningful change happens through attention, repetition, and choice.
